Full extension, soft close and undermount are different choices
Extension describes how far the drawer opens. Closing action describes how it finishes closing. Mounting style describes where the hardware attaches. A slide can combine full extension and soft close, but these standard products are not the separate soft-close model.

Choose another system only after checking drawer-box dimensions, mounting hardware and the manufacturer’s instructions. A similar length alone is not a fit guarantee.
Measure the drawer—not just the cabinet exterior
For a replacement, measure the closed metal slide without including the decorative drawer front. For a new drawer, start with the mounting plane, the drawer-box length and the clear space behind it. Rear brackets, a face frame, an inset front or an obstruction can reduce usable depth.
- Check length: confirm the closed-slide dimension against the required mounting arrangement.
- Check both sides: verify the clearance required by the chosen slide and check that the drawer box is square.
- Check attachment points: compare mounting holes, screw length and a sound fastening surface.
- Check the working load: include the drawer itself and its contents, not just stored items.
The listings state a 1/2-inch slide thickness and approximately 1.8-inch profile height. These item dimensions are not a complete installation drawing. Confirm the required clearance and mounting tolerances before cutting drawer parts.

Questions about ball bearing drawer slides
Does full extension mean soft close?
No. Full extension describes drawer travel and access to the rear. Soft close is a separate closing mechanism. This collection is the standard range; the linked soft-close products are different options.
Are these sold as individual pairs?
The listed products are 10-pair packs. Quantity 1 means one pack of 10 pairs. Quantity 2 means 20 pairs of the selected length—not two individual slides.
Can I choose the slide length from the outside cabinet depth?
Not reliably. Measure the usable mounting space and drawer box. A face frame, rear bracket, cabinet back or inset front can reduce the space available for the slide.
Are the longer slides rated to carry more weight?
The current standard product listings each state up to 100 lb; they do not establish a higher rating for longer sizes. Check the actual installation and supplier rating conditions. Do not multiply a rating by the number of pairs in a pack.
Can side-mount slides be fitted underneath a drawer?
Use these as side mounts. For concealed hardware, compare the undermount system and follow its drawer-box and installation requirements rather than rotating a side-mount slide.
What should I check before replacing existing hardware?
Compare closed length, side clearance, mounting-hole position, cabinet construction and any brackets or release mechanism. Match the physical installation, not just the name or a rounded metric conversion.
