Fit, Installation & Project Planning

Plan the Installation Before You Drill

Use this guide after reviewing the product specifications above. Confirm cabinet clearance first, then plan the mounting side and complete the project with compatible cabinet hardware.

Cabinet Fit Checklist

A cabinet’s advertised width is not always the same as its clear opening. Check the actual usable space and the complete pull-out path.

01

Clear Opening

Measure the narrowest usable opening after accounting for the frame, door, and hinges.

02

Interior Depth

Confirm enough usable depth for the frame, mounting position, and slide movement.

03

Interior Height

Check the space between the cabinet floor and any shelf, rail, pipe, or obstruction.

04

Door & Hinge Clearance

Open the door fully and verify the organizer will not contact hinges, trim, or nearby doors.

05

Mounting Surface

Choose the left or right side with a suitable surface for correct fasteners and alignment.

06

Full Pull-Out Path

Make sure the rack can extend completely without rubbing, binding, or hitting cabinetry.

Dry-fit before drilling: hold the organizer in position, operate the cabinet door, and verify every clearance point before making permanent holes.

Suggested Installation Sequence

Cabinet construction varies. Use this as a planning sequence and follow any instructions supplied with the product.

  1. 1

    Empty and inspect the cabinet

Locate hinges, fillers, plumbing, shelf supports, and any damaged material.

  2. 2

    Choose the mounting side

Select the left or right side with the cleanest surface and clearest pull-out path.

  3. 3

    Position, level, and mark

Hold the frame in place and mark mounting points only after checking door clearance.

  4. 4

    Prepare and secure

Use pilot holes where appropriate and fasteners suited to the cabinet material and hardware.

  5. 5

    Test before loading

Cycle the empty rack several times. Correct rubbing or binding before adding items.

Pull-Out Spice Rack Questions

Answers to the most important fit, use, and installation questions.

Is this a countertop or wall-mounted spice rack?

No. This is an inside-cabinet pull-out organizer. It mounts within a narrow cabinet and returns out of sight when the cabinet is closed.

Will it automatically fit a cabinet labeled 6 inches?

Not automatically. Nominal cabinet width can differ from the clear opening and interior space. Compare the product dimensions above with the measured opening, depth, height, hinges, door, and mounting area.

Can the organizer be mounted on either side?

Yes. Choose left- or right-side inside-cabinet mounting based on the available mounting surface and door-and-hinge clearance.

What should I check in face-frame or frameless cabinets?

In face-frame cabinets, account for opening width lost to the frame. In frameless cabinets, check hinge and door clearance. In both cases, confirm a stable mounting surface and suitable fasteners.

What can I store in the baskets?

Use the rack for compact items such as spices, small jars, oils, small containers, and similarly sized supplies that remain within the basket dimensions.

Can it be installed near hinges, fillers, or plumbing?

Only when those components do not reduce the mounting area or block full extension. Measure around every obstruction and dry-fit the organizer before drilling.

How can Berta Store help me review the fit?

Send the clear opening width, usable depth, usable height, mounting side, and a photo showing the cabinet door and hinges. Final fit remains the installer’s responsibility.
