Return & Refund Policy

At Berta Store, we supply cabinet-grade plywood, MDF panels, hardware, and professional building materials for contractors, cabinet shops, builders, and serious DIY projects.

Product Quality & Samples

All panel materials, including plywood products and MDF panels, may contain natural wood and manufacturing variation.

Wood grain, veneer tone, texture, color variation, and natural characteristics are normal features of plywood and wood-based materials and are not considered defects.

If you are unsure about color, finish, texture, or overall material appearance, we strongly recommend ordering a sample before placing a full order. Sample ordering links are available under product descriptions throughout our website.

Direct Delivery States

Berta Store delivers plywood and MDF panel materials using our own delivery trucks to the following states:

  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Pennsylvania
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Virginia

Residential Delivery Conditions

All deliveries are curbside delivery only.

Customers are required to be present during delivery.

For residential deliveries, our driver will assist with unloading materials from the truck when possible. Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery location is accessible and safe for unloading.

Delivery Inspection

Customers must inspect materials during delivery.

If you notice visible damage, defects, or major issues upon delivery, you may refuse the affected materials directly with the driver at the time of delivery.

Claims submitted after materials are accepted, unloaded, cut, installed, modified, or used may not qualify for refund or replacement.


Third-Party Shipping Carriers

For states outside of our direct delivery regions, orders may be shipped using third-party freight and shipping carriers.

While we carefully package and insure all products, Berta Store cannot fully guarantee freight carrier handling conditions during transportation.

If your shipment arrives damaged, please contact us immediately by email with:

  • Order number
  • Photos of the damage
  • Photos of packaging and pallet condition

Our team will cooperate with the freight carrier and insurance provider to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Returns Due To Material Preference

If you are unsatisfied with wood grain appearance, veneer tone, texture, natural color variation, or other non-defect material characteristics, customers are responsible for all return shipping or transportation costs.

Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return:

  • Materials must remain unused and in original condition.
  • Products must not be cut, modified, painted, installed, or processed in any way.
  • Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery or pickup.
Custom orders, special orders, clearance items, and cut materials are non-returnable and non-refundable.


Hardware & Accessory Products

For non-panel products such as hinges, drawer slides, cabinet hardware, accessories, and fasteners, return conditions may vary depending on the reason for return.

If the product arrives defective or damaged, Berta Store will provide a return shipping label when applicable.

If the return is requested for reasons unrelated to defects or shipping damage, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Refunds

Once returned products are received and inspected, we will notify you regarding approval or rejection of your refund.

Approved refunds will be issued back to the original payment method within approximately 5–10 business days.

Original delivery charges and shipping costs are non-refundable.

Exchanges

If you need a different product, thickness, finish, or size, please place a separate new order.
