Use the sink manufacturer’s requirements
Check the minimum cabinet size and installation instructions for the exact sink, including its mounting method.
A standard sink base and a farmhouse sink base should not be chosen solely because their listed widths are equal. The cabinet front and the way the sink integrates with the countertop can differ. In the current assortment, SB identifies the standard sink-base range and FSB the farmhouse/apron-front range. Begin with the actual sink model and its instructions, then verify the compatible cabinet opening, support and plumbing layout. A cabinet model code is not a universal sink compatibility chart.
A 30-inch cabinet label identifies an outside width, not a 30-inch clear opening and not a countertop cutout. Side panels, front members, sink mounting hardware and plumbing can affect the usable space. The countertop fabricator and installer should work from the sink documentation and the selected cabinet’s drawing. Also confirm any tip-out tray or accessory separately. This page is for choosing the cabinet unit; do not interpret a sink-base listing as a complete sink-and-countertop bundle.
| Current range | Listed widths | Decision before purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Standard sink base (SB) | 27″, 30″, 33″, 36″, 42″ | Check the sink’s minimum cabinet size and mounting requirements |
| Farmhouse sink base (FSB) | 30″, 33″, 36″ | Check apron opening, sink support and the countertop relationship |
| Ordinary storage base | A different cabinet function | Do not assume it can be substituted for a sink base |
No universal sink opening, load capacity or cutout dimension is implied by these model widths.
The cabinet name alone cannot answer that. Use the sink manufacturer’s minimum cabinet requirement and verify the selected cabinet’s clear opening and installation drawing.
This listing is for the cabinet unit, not a complete sink package. Plan your sink and countertop separately and confirm the full order contents with Berta Store.
Do not assume that from the SB or FSB code. Confirm the selected model’s included accessories before ordering.
These are alternative or complementary cabinet choices. Confirm dimensions, finish and installation compatibility for the complete layout.
