Wider base cabinets for everyday kitchen storage

Choose a pre-assembled double-door Shaker base cabinet in a listed width of 24, 27, 30, 33 or 36 inches. These B24–B36 units are sold individually, so you can select the widths needed for a short cabinet run or a larger project.

Drawer storage sits above the two-door lower compartment. B24 and B27 are listed with one top drawer; B30, B33 and B36 with two. Compare the model, finish and current unit price below, and confirm the usable opening if your storage plan depends on a particular interior dimension.

Before you choose your cabinet

CHECK 01

Choose the width for the layout

Allow for any end panels, fillers and door clearance. A 30-inch gap does not necessarily mean a 30-inch unit is the complete installation.

CHECK 02

Check the opening, not just the box

Two doors do not by themselves confirm whether an internal partition or face-frame member affects access. Verify the clear opening for large items.

CHECK 03

Plan exposed sides and the worktop

An end-of-run or island layout needs a separate plan for visible cabinet sides, the back and countertop support.

Cabinet buying guide

One wide base cabinet or several smaller units?

Compare the storage arrangement before adding widths

A double-door base cabinet can serve a different storage plan from two separate narrow cabinets, even when the total nominal width is similar. The door openings, number of top drawers, internal divisions and the way you reach stored items can differ. Choose around your contents and the actual model drawing. Do not assume one wider unit is always less expensive or offers a completely unobstructed interior; compare the current prices and the clear openings of the exact alternatives.

Two doors does not mean a double-sided cabinet

“Double door” describes the two doors on the front of this cabinet. It does not establish access from both sides or a finished back suitable for an exposed island. For an island or peninsula, confirm the back treatment, exposed ends, anchoring and countertop plan before ordering. For a normal wall run, check how adjacent drawers, appliance handles and corner doors will move. This prevents a nominally correct width from becoming an awkward storage arrangement.

Choose the layout—not just the total width

This is a layout comparison, not a claim that two cabinets are interchangeable or that one arrangement has a lower installed cost.

Questions before you order

Do all B24–B36 models have two top drawers?

No. B24 and B27 are listed with one top drawer, while B30, B33 and B36 are listed with two. Confirm the arrangement for your selected model before ordering.

Can I use this cabinet in an island?

An island needs its own plan for the exposed back and sides, anchoring and countertop support. Confirm those details rather than assuming the standard cabinet includes an island finishing package.

Is a double-door base the same as a sink base?

No. A standard storage base and a sink base serve different layouts. Choose a sink-base model when the project must accommodate a sink and plumbing.

Materials for a separately planned island or built-in

Cabinet units do not determine every surrounding finish detail. For custom work outside the supplied cabinet, compare panels separately and have the installer confirm the design and finish.

Panels are sold separately for custom work. They are not pre-cut or factory-matched cabinet replacement parts; confirm thickness, finish, cutting and installation for your project.
