What makes Berta’s MDF “premium acrylic”?
Our Premium Acrylic MDF 4x8 Panels are built with a dense core and smooth acrylic surface coating. This ensures a flawless finish for painting, laminating, or high-gloss projects without grain or fiber fuzz.
What thicknesses are available?
Our MDF panels come in standard 3/4” 4x8 sheets, the most versatile size for cabinets and furniture. Thinner sheets are often used for drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, or wall applications.
Why choose MDF instead of plywood?
MDF offers a perfectly smooth, paint-ready surface, while Plywood provides superior strength and screw-holding power. Many builders combine both — MDF for cabinet doors and plywood for structural support.
Applications & Uses
Can MDF be used for cabinets and furniture?
Yes. MDF is a favorite for cabinet doors, panels, and shelving because of its stability and smooth finish. Many builders pair MDF fronts with plywood cabinet boxes for strength.
